Where it began

History is important. Where we come from in important. This first post on Mofish Excursions blog is going to be one of our history.

The owner/dreamer of this business John Moller grew up in Unalaska, Alaska; the wild west of our beautiful state of Alaska. He has been in commercial fishing since the age of 8 and has made it his career off and on through the years. He has captained boat in the Bering Sea during the king crab hay day and he bought into a family boat operation here in Juneau, Alaska on which he raised 3 or his 4 kids on. This is the very boat you will be adventuring on. His intention was to share with his kids a way of life that he loves. Once you are a commercial fisherman it is in your blood. There is nothing better than that salty wind in your face and the feeling of catching your own seafood.

His dream now is that you can experience this way of life that has brought so much joy to him and his family through the years.
